India Strikes Back: 26 Naval Ships Set Sail Towards Pakistan as Tensions Escalate

Baby Chakraborty, KalimNews, May 9, 2025, Delhi :  The ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan has reached a new level of intensity, with both nations locked in a fierce military confrontation. On the night of Friday, May 8, the Karachi port, one of Pakistan’s most strategic locations, was left in ruins following an attack by the Indian Navy. Sources confirm that 26 Indian naval ships are currently heading towards Pakistan, signaling a significant escalation in hostilities not seen since the 1971 war.

The tension has been building since Thursday night, when Pakistan launched a series of attacks on India, prompting a swift and powerful retaliation. The Pakistani drone assault was completely neutralized by India’s state-of-the-art S-400 Sudarshan Chakra air defense system, with all drones and missiles destroyed mid-flight. On the ground, skirmishes along the Line of Control (LoC) continue, with Indian forces effectively countering the Pakistani artillery and mortar fire.

In a bold and strategic move, INS Vikrant, India’s flagship aircraft carrier, has been deployed on a major offensive operation. The warship, a symbol of India’s naval might, has already targeted the Karachi port, a location previously struck by Indian forces during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, when the port was set ablaze for a week. This renewed assault serves as a stark reminder of the power India’s military possesses, particularly in the maritime domain.

Additionally, the Indian Navy has deployed P-81 aircraft, specialized anti-submarine planes, in the Arabian Sea to thwart any potential underwater attacks by Pakistani submarines. These developments are expected to create significant disruption in Pakistan’s naval and logistical operations.

The situation remains tense, with both sides engaging in a war of words and military posturing. Experts predict that Pakistan is struggling to keep pace with India’s military capabilities, particularly after the overwhelming response to its recent provocations. As India intensifies its naval operations, the country appears determined to send a strong message: any threat to its sovereignty will be met with unwavering force.

The world watches closely as the conflict continues to unfold, with hopes that diplomacy may yet bring an end to the violence. However, the current trajectory suggests that the war will escalate further, with no immediate resolution in sight.
